Food for Human Rights Defender to remind about the rights of hunger-striking Narek Samsonyan (Video)

Participants in a protest action held in front of the Human Rights Defender’s office brought food with them and placed it on the steps of the building, voicing about the deteriorated health condition of Narek Samsonyan, who has been on hunger strike for 11 days.

The demonstrators reminded the Ombudsman that there is a political prisoner in the Republic of Armenia – Narek Samsonyan – who is currently on an indefinite hunger strike. They stressed that the institution responsible for protecting citizens’ rights has so far issued no statement regarding Samsonyan’s situation, nor has any representative of the office visited him during his 11 days on hunger strike.
