We do not like one-sidedness in relations with Azerbaijan – Narek Karapetyan
Concerns remain over trade with Azerbaijan, Narek Karapetyan, coordinator of the “Our Way” movement, told reporters.
“The purchase of oil and gasoline should be part of a broader, comprehensive agreement regulating Armenian-Azerbaijani economic and other relations,” he said.
Karapetyan emphasized that the return of prisoners of war remains a primary issue. “Cooperation is only possible if Armenian goods are exported to Azerbaijan and purchased in comparable quantities,” he noted.
While normalizing relations with neighboring countries is of fundamental importance, Karapetyan stressed that Armenia will not accept one-sided agreements. “We do not like that we always give and take, and there is no reciprocity. That is the key issue,” he added.
