Narek Samsonyan ends hunger strike, transferred to Izmilyan Medical Center – lawyer (Video)

Narek Samsonyan has ended his hunger strike and has been transferred to the Izmilyan Medical Center. The information was announced on Facebook by his lawyer, Ruben Melikyan.

According to Melikyan, the transfer took place at Samsonyan’s own request following medical advice. “It was the 14th day of the hunger strike. He was in a visibly deteriorated and exhausted condition. He told me that he had spoken with a doctor, who explained the consequences of his illness and the additional risks posed by continuing the hunger strike, and insisted on immediate hospitalization,” Melikyan stated.

Taking the medical recommendations into account, Samsonyan decided to end the hunger strike, the lawyer added.
