Mamijanyan: “Will he one day propose merging the armies?”

Following Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s announcement that the energy systems of Armenia and Azerbaijan will be interconnected, Hayk Mamijanyan, head of the I Have Honor faction in the National Assembly said: 

“Yesterday, Nikol Pashinyan announced that Armenia’s and Azerbaijan’s energy systems will be interconnected. I ask: could he one day suggest merging the armed forces as well, under the pretext of optimizing expenditures? The logic is nearly the same. Dear citizens, are you okay with handing over control of our energy system – our electricity – to Azerbaijan? I am not okay with that.”
