Father Garegin’s house arrest extended by one month; permitted to attend Sunday liturgy (Video)

The house arrest imposed on Father Garegin Arsenyan, Archbishop of the Aragatsotn Diocese and spiritual pastor of St. George Church in Mughni, has been extended for one month.

The decision was issued by Judge Davit Dabaghyan of the Court of General Jurisdiction of the Aragatsotn Region.

Under the court’s ruling, Father Garegin is prohibited from correspondence, telephone conversations, and other forms of communication, as well as from contacting any persons except close relatives and legal counsel.

At the same time, he is permitted to attend Sunday liturgy and receive communion. However, he is not allowed to communicate with other individuals during these visits.

The court further specified that Father Garegin may attend church services only at his place of residence in Armavir and not in the Aragatsotn region.
