The spokesperson denies: Nikol Pashinyan did not approve LGBT parade in Yerevan on April 7
Claims circulating in the media and on social networks that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan approved the holding of an LGBT community parade in Yerevan on April 7 are false, Prime Minister’s spokesperson Nazeli Baghdasaryan said.
According to Baghdasaryan, the material being circulated shows clear signs of foreign information manipulation and interference (FIMI) and forms part of a broader hybrid influence campaign.
“The author of the publication, Okay Demprey, has repeatedly disseminated unreliable and manipulative information about state institutions of the Republic of Armenia. This has been documented by both Armenian and international expert communities,” she stated.
Baghdasaryan added that the goal of such publications is to polarize society and undermine public trust in state institutions ahead of electoral processes.
