Powers of head of Yerevan Municipality Transport Department suspended

Aysor.am had previously reported that the Investigative Committee of the Republic of Armenia initiated a public criminal prosecution against an official of the Yerevan Municipality.

According to the Investigative Committee, during the preliminary investigation into a case concerning the failure to execute a judicial act or obstruction of its execution, public criminal charges were brought against one individual. As a preventive measure, a travel ban and suspension from office were imposed.

Speaking with Aysor.am, Ofelia Simonyan, Head of the Yerevan Municipality’s Information Department, confirmed that the official powers of Vazgen Harutyunyan, Head of the Municipality’s Transport Department, have been suspended.
