Simonyan and the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia discuss regional issues

On February 2, the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Alen Simonyan, received Khalil Shirgholami, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Armenia, the National Assembly press office reported.

Simonyan congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and expressed hope that his tenure would further strengthen and develop bilateral relations. The meeting also touched on the development of inter-parliamentary ties and regional issues of mutual interest.
