“You can’t award a prize to a dictator holding our compatriots captive” – Garnik Danielyan (Video)

Free speech has now been criminalized in Armenia, member of parliament Garnik Danielyan stated during a protest in front of the National Assembly.

“People who oppose the current authorities are being imprisoned. The international community must provide a clear assessment of what is happening. It is crucial not to forget those who are now being illegally held in prison,” Danielyan said, stressing that such a situation is unacceptable.

According to the MP, double standards must be rejected, and the reality in Armenia should be assessed honestly, without turning a blind eye.

“You cannot award a prize to a dictator who has been holding our compatriots captive for a long time,” Garnik Danielyan emphasized.
