National Assembly MP Armine Kheranyan wrote:

“Yesterday, Nikol and Aliyev received the ‘Zayed’ 2026 Human Fraternity Award in celebration of the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan. Today, however, Azerbaijan sentenced our compatriots to life imprisonment – for being Armenian, for defending their right to live freely on their own land, and for refusing to betray their nation and nationality.
