Either we revive, or we die – Ruben Vardanyan

During a phone conversation with his spouse Veronika Zonabend, Ruben Vardanyan asked to convey the following thought from Albert Camus’s essay “The Rebel” (1951):

“The future is impossible to predict, and revival may be impossible. We simply refuse to be humble. We must spare nothing for the sake of revival. We have no other option: either we revive or we die.”
