We have approved the sale of $11 million in surveillance drone technology to Armenia – Vance

During a press conference with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, U.S.Vice President J.D. Vance conveyed greetings from U.S. President Donald Trump to the Armenian people and to Pashinyan personally.                            

“We are not only building peace for Armenia, but also prosperity, together with the United States,” Vance said.

“I believe today marks a new beginning in the partnership between Armenia and the United States. The United States has proudly approved a number of licenses, opening the door to new markets and new jobs – both for American workers and companies, and for Armenia,” he noted.

Vance added that Armenia and the United States have completed discussions on cooperation in the field of nuclear energy.

“Once the agreement enters into force, it will create opportunities for American and Armenian companies alike. This is a win-win situation for energy stability and security for both Armenia and my country, and it will generate many jobs. This includes small modular reactors – meaning American technologies will come to Armenia,” he said.

The U.S. vice president also stressed that Washington seeks not only to build peace, but to ensure that it is lasting.

Vance further announced that the United States has approved the sale of $11 million worth of surveillance drone technology to Armenia.

“President Trump understands very well that the best way to ensure peace is to possess the most advanced military technologies. The United States has such technologies, and we are now approving the sale of $11 million in reconnaissance drone technology to Armenia,” he said.
