“Initial investments will be $5 billion, with another $4 billion in the second phase” – Vance

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance have signed a joint statement confirming the completion of negotiations on an agreement between the governments of Armenia and the United States on cooperation in the peaceful use of nuclear energy.

Commenting on the agreement, Vance said that the launch of cooperation in the nuclear energy sector would open the door to future projects involving American and Armenian companies.

“The initial investments will amount to $5 billion, with an additional $4 billion planned for the second phase. This is a win-win situation for both Armenia and my country in terms of energy security and stability. It will also create many jobs in both the United States and Armenia. American technologies will come to Armenia, and our country rarely exports such specific technologies to other states,” Vance said.
