“My goal is not to have a faction in the National Assembly, my goal is to get rid of this government” – Artur Vanetsyan
“I am confident that we will succeed, but effective cooperation among the main opposition forces is crucial,” said Homeland Party leader Artur Vanetsyan in an interview with Hraparak, responding to a question about whether the opposition will be able to consolidate and achieve success in the elections.
According to him, without such cooperation, if each political force is driven solely by its own interests and ambitions, there will be no meaningful result.
“However, I am confident this will not be the case. I know that the key opposition players, at least at this stage, are united and working toward a common objective. That objective must be clearly defined – we need to understand why we are participating in these elections. The Homeland Party and I are taking part in the elections to remove Nikol Pashinyan and the Civil Contract Party from power. My goal is not to become a member of parliament, nor to secure a faction in the National Assembly. My goal is to get rid of this government, and I will do everything necessary to achieve that.”
