Electricity prices to definitely rise after elections – David Ghazinyan

We have reasonable suspicion that every measure was taken to prevent electricity tariffs from rising ahead of the 2026 elections, former Acting General Director of the Armenian National Electricity Network (ENA), Davit Ghazinyan said at a press conference.

“That is why I can say with certainty that the electricity tariff will increase after the elections,” he said.

He also drew a parallel with previous election periods: “This is the same approach we saw before 2021 - giving citizens and prime ministers hopes and promises, only to see them unfulfilled afterward. I believe the same pattern will repeat after 2026.”
