Archbishop Mikayel discharged from “Izmirlian” Medical Center, heads to Prelacy

The Primate of the Shirak Diocese, Archbishop Mikayel Ajapahyan, has been discharged from the “Izmirlian” Medical Center.

The Archbishop said that he is feeling well: “I am wonderful, I am fine, everything is fine, better than before,” he said.

Archbishop Mikayel has previously undergone two surgeries. When asked what he would say to his fellow servicemen, he replied that they know what they are doing. He also noted that he is now heading to Gyumri, to the Prelacy.

The Archbishop’s preventive detention has been replaced with house arrest, combined with a ban on leaving his residence. His Holiness is prohibited from corresponding with others, making telephone calls, or using other forms of communication. Only close relatives, his legal defenders, one clergyman of the Shirak Diocese, and one administrative or financial staff member are permitted to visit him.
