1 dead, 2 in critical condition after Ajapnyak shooting; 7 hospitalized

Seven people were hospitalized after a shooting in Yerevan’s Ajapnyak district, one of whom has died and two of whom are in critical condition, Aysor.am has learned.

All seven were taken to the Armenia Medical Center, said Ashot Kurghinyan, deputy general director for surgery at the facility.

“According to preliminary data, the injuries are gunshot wounds, mainly to the chest and abdomen. One of the wounded admitted to the medical center has died. Two are in critical condition, and the others are receiving first aid,” Kurghinyan said.

Earlier it was reported that gunfire had been heard in Yerevan’s Ajapnyak administrative district.
