The Armenian government considers the Artsakh issue closed and fears any related initiative could irritate Baku – Tigran Abrahamyan

A harsh verdict has also been handed down against Ruben Vardanyan, as was predictable given the nature of Azerbaijani justice, wrote Tigran Abrahamyan, secretary of the National Assembly “I Have Honor” faction.

According to him, the issue of Armenian detainees illegally held in Baku has never been legal in nature at any stage; it is purely political and must be resolved within that framework.

“The biggest problem is that the issue of prisoners, although raised in meetings of various formats, does not become central to the agenda for any side.

The Armenian government considers the Artsakh issue closed and fears that any occasion related to it may irritate Baku. As a result, it has pushed the matter into an inertial state. Freedom to all Armenians in Baku prisons,” the MP noted.
