Narek Samsonyan’s preventive measure changed to house arrest, his attorney reported
Lawyer Ruben Melikyan wrote:
“His Holiness Bagrat’s speech in court today was simply remarkable – powerful and dignified. It was as though the thousand-year wisdom of our Mother Church resonated in the courtroom like an invisible blessing.
I was listening intently and only at the end noticed that I had missed several calls. They were from the Court of Appeals. I was informed that, based on our complaint, Judge Karen Hovhannisyan had decided to replace the detention of political prisoner Narek Samsonyan with house arrest.
To remind, Narek remains in hospital, where he is receiving post-operative treatment. He will likely stay there for several more days.
Freedom to all political prisoners.”
