“In my 45 years of legal practice, I have defended Christians around the world, but what I am witnessing in Armenia today is unprecedented,” wrote international lawyer Robert Amsterdam, who represents Samvel Karapetyan.

“I do not know of any other country whose government works so hard to undermine its own culture, history, and faith.

In a conversation with Gevorg Melikyan, we discussed the unlawful attacks against the Armenian Apostolic Church, the imprisonment of clergy, and the fate of the hostages in Baku – an issue in which the government appears to show little interest,” he wrote.
