Armenia-Iran defense cooperation highly praised

As part of his official visit to the Islamic Republic of Iran, Armenia’s Minister of Defense Suren Papikyan met with Iran’s Minister of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, Brigadier General Aziz Nasirzadeh.

The meeting was also attended by Armenia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Iran, Grigor Hakobyan.

The sides highly praised the level of Armenia-Iran cooperation in the defense sector and reaffirmed their readiness to continue efforts aimed at further developing bilateral relations. A number of issues related to defense cooperation were discussed.

The interlocutors also exchanged views on several regional and international security issues.
