The EU is Armenia’s most reliable partner: Pashinyan

The EU is Armenia’s most reliable partner in strengthening democracy, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said while answering questions at the Polish Institute of International Relations.

He recalled that last year the Armenian parliament adopted a law launching the process of Armenia’s membership in the European Union.

“Of course, this law is an important incentive for us to continue the reform agenda. New opportunities are now emerging in the region and in our country, and we are discussing how the EU can be involved in opening and restoring regional communications. We hope that investments will come from the EU and its member states; we are focused on identifying new opportunities for Armenia,” Pashinyan said, emphasizing prospects for cooperation across a range of areas – from democracy and the economy to defense.
