We are ready to provide a route for trucks traveling between Turkey and Azerbaijan, awaiting Turkey’s decision: Pashinyan (Video)
We have a very positive dialogue with Turkey, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said while answering questions at the Polish Institute of International Relations, touching upon Armenian-Turkish relations. He noted that meetings and consultations are ongoing, although the land border remains closed.
“Of course, the most important development we hope to see is the establishment of official diplomatic relations between Armenia and Turkey and, naturally, the opening of the land border. The process is underway, and I am confident that we will see progress very soon; at least the atmosphere is conducive to it,” Pashinyan said.
The Armenian prime minister stressed that Armenia has no obstacle on this issue. “There is a general understanding that this should happen, but it depends on Turkey’s decision, because we are ready to move forward at any time. We have said that even today we are ready to provide a route for trucks traveling from Turkey to Azerbaijan and from Azerbaijan to Turkey. The infrastructure is fully ready for this, and we are waiting for Turkey’s decision,” he noted.
