There is no vacuum in Iran, the people continue their struggle with a strong spirit – Iranian Ambassador to Armenia

“One of the surprising phenomena in this world is how a regime that is, in principle, unable to remain committed to negotiations decided to enter a negotiation process,” said Khalil Shirgholami at a press conference in Yerevan.

He noted that the Supreme Leader of Iran had maintained a very positive attitude toward the Armenian people, the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian community living in Iran.

“His martyrdom is a great sorrow for Iran, but the Iranian people have the determination to continue pursuing their goals with an even stronger spirit.”

The ambassador stressed that no power vacuum has emerged in Iran and that the country continues to be governed during this transitional period by its leadership structures.

“In the near future, we will witness the appointment of a new Supreme Leader. The Iranian people will continue to advance Iran’s national goals with resilience and strong resolve,” Khalil Shirgholami said.
