Araghchi and Mirzoyan hold telephone conversation; Mirzoyan expresses condolences

On March 2, a telephone conversation took place between Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia.

“During the conversation, Araghchi, referring to the illegal and unjustified aggression carried out against Iran by the United States and the Zionist regime during the negotiations, emphasized that Iran is in the midst of a full-scale war.

He noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran, in response to this intolerable aggression, has targeted the occupied territories and American military bases in the region. Iran is ready to continue self-defense as long as necessary, as well as to avenge the blood of its martyred leader.

During this conversation, Mirzoyan expressed his condolences over the death of the Supreme Leader, as well as a number of Iranian citizens, women and children. He also announced Armenia’s readiness to provide any humanitarian assistance necessary in these circumstances, expressing hope that the current situation will find a diplomatic solution,” the statement said.
