Tatoyan says new incursions into Armenia’s territory were recorded but concealed by authorities

There have been new incursions into the territory of the Republic of Armenia that, according to Arman Tatoyan, have been concealed from the public by the authorities.

Arman Tatoyan, coordinator of the “Wings of Unity” movement, made the statement during an urgent press conference devoted to security issues, presenting specific facts on a map.

“I will present, in particular, what happened in Vardenis. This incursion took place several years ago within the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. According to satellite images, this position did not exist until July 31, 2025. The images show that by August 19 of last year, the position had already been established. This is an Azerbaijani combat position, including firing points for heavy weapons. From these positions, the Sotk mine is being directly targeted and subjected to fire,” Tatoyan stated.

According to him, communities in the Vardenis area, as well as their pastures, are also under threat from that position. Tatoyan added that the Azerbaijani deployment endangers not only Armenian settlements but also the lives of Armenian servicemen.
