Perception of threat from Azerbaijan and Turkey declines but remains high – IRI
Azerbaijan and Turkey continue to be viewed as the main political threats to Armenia, although the share of citizens holding this view has decreased compared to the previous survey.
According to the results of the IRI survey, 80% of respondents consider Azerbaijan a political threat, down from 87% in the previous survey.
Sixty-nine percent view Turkey as a threat, compared to 79% previously.
Russia ranks next, with 29% of respondents considering it a threat, followed by the United States with 10% and Georgia with 6%.
