The Foreign Intelligence Service of Armenia warns of pressure on citizens abroad and electoral interference
The Foreign Intelligence Service of Armenia has issued a statement regarding pressure on Armenian citizens abroad and attempts to interfere in upcoming elections.
“The Foreign Intelligence Service has received intelligence indicating that, on behalf of foreign special services, various actors are attempting to pressure individuals of Armenian descent and RA citizens engaged in economic activities abroad. These efforts aim to compel them to support certain political forces that have applied to participate in Armenia’s upcoming parliamentary elections. Such actions may include, but are not limited to, financial and organizational support from these businesspeople to the targeted political forces,” the statement reads.
