Peace with Azerbaijan creates opportunity to expand cooperation with the EU: Nikol Pashinyan

Armenia is cooperating with the European Union in a regional context, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced during a joint press conference with European Parliament President Roberta Metsola.

“The peace established with Azerbaijan creates an opportunity for us to expand our cooperation with the EU,” he said.

According to Pashinyan, the only true guarantee of Armenia’s security is peace; there is no more reliable security guarantee than peace itself.

He added that perceptions of security evolve over time, shifting from a primarily military focus to political and diplomatic dimensions.
