Iran’s Foreign Ministry confirms new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei injured

Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, has been injured but is in good condition, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said.

“He is injured but is doing well. I do not know when he will deliver his first speech. There were three or four candidates for the position of Supreme Leader, but the majority of the Assembly of Experts chose him,” Baghaei said in an interview with the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera.
