Peskov declines to comment on reports of Mojtaba Khamenei’s treatment in Moscow

Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov did not comment on reports that the new Iranian leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, had arrived in Moscow for treatment.

“We do not comment on such reports in any way,” the Kremlin spokesman said when asked whether the information published by the Kuwaiti newspaper Al-Jarida, claiming that Iran’s new Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei had secretly moved to Moscow for treatment.

It should be noted that the Al-Jarida newspaper wrote that Mojtaba Khamenei was wounded on the first day of the US and Israeli attack on Iran and was evacuated to Moscow on a secret flight for treatment.

According to the newspaper, Khamenei underwent successful surgery in Moscow and is currently receiving treatment at a clinic located on the territory of one of Vladimir Putin’s residences. However, this information has not been officially confirmed.
