I cannot speak of any violation at this stage: Human Rights Defender on Pashinyan’s involvement of children in the campaign (Video)

“I have instructed the Human Rights Defender’s department to keep this issue in the spotlight,” RA Human Rights Defender Anahit Manasyan said in an interview with Aysor.am, answering a question about whether the involvement of children by Nikol Pashinyan in an intra-party campaign constitutes a violation of their rights.

“At the moment, we have received no complaints from either children or their parents. At this stage, I cannot speak of any violation of rights. For example, if a parent files a complaint about the violation of a child’s right to personal protection, naturally I will have the opportunity to address the issue,” she noted.

According to Anahit Manasyan, children have the right to participate in assemblies, and their participation in decision-making processes is encouraged.
