Shahramanyan claims the latest statement was agreed with Pashinyan – Galstyan and Rubinyan argue in the NA

“Your political team and your leader are legitimizing the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh, which in itself constitutes genocide,” said Lilit Galstyan, an MP from the “Armenia” faction, speaking from the National Assembly chair.

She recalled that in 2023 the authorities had adopted a decision stating that the Republic of Armenia assumes protection of the “ethnically cleansed residents of Artsakh.”

“I would like to remind you of Shahramanyan’s statement, in which he claimed that the latest document was agreed with Nikol Pashinyan,” Galstyan noted, referring to the decision on the dissolution of Artsakh.

“He is lying. I was present at all the discussions – nothing of the sort took place,” responded Ruben Rubinyan, who was chairing the session.

Galstyan insisted that Shahramanyan had stated that Pashinyan had also been involved in working on the document.

Earlier today Pashinyan stated that the decision to dissolve Artsakh had been made without his involvement.

“As for the final decision, the person you are referring to made it independently. I don’t know whom he consulted. He spoke to me about it, and I asked what role Armenia had in that process. He said none. I replied: in that case, you decide – make whatever decision you see fit,” Pashinyan said.
