We need a strong and guaranteed peace – Narek Karapetyan

We are reaching a point where society must choose between Pashinyan or Karapetyan. There are two major alternatives today. If we want to continue this unstable situation and keep everything as it is, one option exists. But if we want to change the course of our country, bring real guaranteed peace, and finally implement a normal economic program, we choose Karapetyan, said Narek Karapetyan, a member of the Strong Armenia party, in an interview with the “Zham” news program on Armenia TV.

He noted that Pashinyan’s government promises peace without guarantors.

“The US is only a witness in the TRIPP issue, not a guarantor. The Prime Minister says every day that we do not need a guarantor. Imagine a border escalation: 50 people from Azerbaijan cross the line – who will meet them? Are there any international mechanisms? None, because there are no guarantors. To avoid clashes, we need more than one guarantor. We need a strong peace, because this government has already given everything to Azerbaijan. In negotiations, we must pursue a strong, guaranteed peace agreement, not leave our country’s doors open,” Karapetyan emphasized.
