Without security guarantees, diversification is just a show – Narek Karapetyan

If there are no security guarantees, there is no diversification – it is all just a show, said Narek Karapetyan, a member of the Strong Armenia party, in an interview with the “Zham” news program on Armenia TV.

“Do you know what real diversification is? It is when we have as much trade turnover with Europe as we do with our traditional allies. Real diversification means having guarantees. It is not about handshakes or photo opportunities. We should not leave any doors open. We need to diversify the economy, and only then will the level of sovereignty of the Republic of Armenia increase,” he stated.
