The spiritual pastor of Surb Hakob Church in Mrgavan, Reverend Father Mikael Nurijanyan, has called on people to love one another, emphasizing that it is easier than doing evil.

“Why do envy and hatred so often prevail in life – even among those who are closest to the source of spiritual life – more than among those who are not?

People frequently attend church and maintain a constant presence in spiritual life, almost as a daily routine. Yet humility, love, forgiveness, willpower, solidarity, and the proper understanding and application of life’s situations are often absent. Instead, their opposites take root – even if unintentionally: pride, arrogance, malice, intolerance, unforgiving attitudes, jealousy, and a false display of faith.

They present themselves as pious, but act in the opposite way. They spread division instead of unity, sow hatred instead of love, and foster enmity instead of solidarity.

Love one another – it is easier than doing evil. Forgive one another, and be willing to do good.

This is what the Lord desires above all else – but it must come from a sincere heart and the full radiance of the soul,” Father Mikael noted.
