Human Rights Defender proposes considering alternative measure of restraint for 18-year-old Davit Minasyan

The Human Rights Defender has proposed discussing the use of an alternative measure of restraint for 18-year-old Davit Minasyan.

Speaking to reporters today, she did not specify to whom the proposal was made. When asked whether she had submitted it to the Prosecutor General, she declined to elaborate.

“The court is the first to decide on detention. I cannot say definitively whether the disease is compatible or incompatible with detention, but considering the available documents regarding the person’s health condition, issues related to the right to education, and other factors, I have proposed discussing the use of an alternative measure of restraint,” she explained.
