RA airspace to be closed to drones and general aviation from May 3-5

Taking into account the large-scale events scheduled to take place in the Republic of Armenia from May 3 to 5, 2026 – the 8th EAC Summit, the Armenia-EU Summit, and the Yerevan Dialogue – and the participation of numerous foreign delegations, temporary airspace restrictions will be introduced.

According to a statement by the Civil Aviation Committee, the use of general aviation – including all types of civilian drones – will be prohibited in the airspace of the Republic of Armenia during this period for security reasons.
