Members of the “Strong Armenia” party arrested on charges of electoral bribery – Anti-Corruption Committee

Members of the “Strong Armenia” party have been arrested on charges of giving and receiving electoral bribes, according to the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia.

Marina Ohanjanyan, spokesperson for the committee, told Aysor.am that 14 individuals have been arrested within the framework of a criminal investigation.

“Additional information will be provided if necessary,” she added.

Since early morning the Anti-Corruption Committee has been conducting searches in various offices of the “Strong Armenia” party.

Hasmik Amirzadyan, a party member who was detained, has been formally charged, and the issue of a preventive measure is currently under discussion.
