Garnik Cholakyan becomes European Championship Vice-Champion

Armenia has won its first medal at the European Championship in Batumi, Georgia.

Competing in the men’s 60 kg weight category, Garnik Cholakyan lifted 120 kg and 124 kg in the snatch, finishing second in the discipline.

In the clean and jerk, Cholakyan successfully lifted 145 kg and 150 kg, placing third in that segment.

With a total of 274 kg, Garnik Cholakyan secured the silver medal and the title of European Championship vice-champion.
