Normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations is a reliable path to sustainable peace in the South Caucasus – CSTO

The CSTO expects that the normalization of relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan will lead to a reliable and lasting peace in the South Caucasus. This was stated by CSTO Secretary General Taalatbek Masadikov at a session of the Council of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly.

“We continue to closely monitor the situation in the Caucasus. It appears that efforts to achieve sustainable peace and stability are ongoing. We observe encouraging trends aimed at signing a comprehensive interstate peace agreement between the two countries. We believe that the normalization of Armenian-Azerbaijani relations is a reliable path to sustainable peace and stability in the South Caucasus,” he said, according to TASS.
