Pashinyan: The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin is “polluted”

Nikol Pashinyan, who has declared a campaign against the church, stated today that the connection between the church and the people is weakening.

“The content of spiritual life in Armenia is weakening more and more,” he noted.

Pashinyan said his anti-church campaign is aimed at serving the interests of the church, adding that the public should make a fair judgment in the upcoming elections.

He also claimed that the church, having moved away from spiritual sermons, is increasingly engaged in political discourse.

“Our Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin is polluted, it is infected,” he said.
