Armenia ranked 52nd in Heritage Foundation’s Economic Freedom Index – Papoyan

According to the Heritage Foundation’s “Index of Economic Freedom,” Armenia ranks 52nd out of 176 countries, ahead of EU members Spain (53rd), Romania (58th), France (65th), Italy (73rd), Greece (75th), and Hungary (79th).

This was announced by Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan, who emphasized that Armenia leads among the EAEU countries.

“The top-ranking countries in this index are Singapore, Switzerland, and Ireland. According to 2025 data, we ranked 57th with 65.4 points (an improvement of five positions),” the Civil Contract party member wrote.
