In a conversation with journalists in the courtyard of the Central Electoral Commission building, Aram Vardevanyan referred to the widely discussed recordings, stating that they had been edited.

“I am sure you are very familiar with numerous such examples. The general public has the impression that all this is yet another manifestation of manipulative, false, and fraudulent propaganda,” he said.

Vardevanyan also addressed the case involving Gohar Ghumashyan, noting that she had simply intended to present a television set to the 103-year-old woman on her birthday.

“From the perspective of international practice, widespread wiretapping is not a positive phenomenon,” he added.
