Follow the victory, do not turn against each other: Archbishop Bagrat’s appeal to the opposition (video)

Archbishop Bagrat’s pretrial detention has been extended for two months.

“I have absolutely nothing to say about this phenomenon called ‘pretrial detention.’ My position is clear: just as you took me there, you will be taken out with your broken hands,” Archbishop Bagrat declared in court.

The Archbishop also addressed the opposition, noting that he considers its representatives to be patriots.

“Especially in these days, under the gaze of the saints of the Genocide, do not target one another, do not destroy each other. Your personal life and the path you have taken are not greater than our state, our homeland, and our very existence.

You have one target, one evil, as you yourselves have declared: one trial, one struggle – and I would add, one victory.

Pursue that victory; do not turn against one another. Unite under the intercession and protection of these saints. Let the time finally come when each of you – yes, I say this with full responsibility – values yourself less than our state, our homeland, and our people.

Your life, in itself, is fleeting – like grass, like a flower. It comes and goes. Come together. Leave your sins aside and do not treat one another through the lens of past wrongs. Treat each other with justice.

And yes, victory will not be delayed,” the Archbishop said.
