“We will fight for the return of Armenia’s territories occupied by Azerbaijan,” said Samvel Karapetyan, the prime ministerial candidate of the “Strong Armenia” party, during a press conference.

Speaking about Artsakh, he noted that it will not be possible to return Artsakh in the coming years, perhaps even in the coming decades.

“I realistically assess the current situation. Our main task is to ensure a dignified life for Artsakh Armenians in Armenia and to create the conditions for their safe return to Artsakh. Whoever wishes to return to Artsakh must have their security guaranteed,” he said.

Karapetyan expressed confidence that Armenian prisoners and the occupied territories of Armenia would be returned, while emphasizing that the issue of the return of Artsakh Armenians remains the most complicated.

“I cannot say that we will resolve this issue very quickly, but we will do everything possible to achieve it,” he added.
