I am glad that you can say whatever you want – Avinyan to the opposition (Video)

Members of the “Mother Armenia” alliance have found shelter on the lists of Gagik Tsarukyan’s Prosperous Armenia Party and the “Armenia” bloc, Tigran Avinyan said during a session of the Yerevan Council of Elders.

“And these people are talking about corruption and our geopolitical problems,” Avinyan said.

“European conference was recently held in Yerevan. In the history of the Armenian nation, such an event has never taken place in Armenia. Even during the time of Tigran the Great, nothing like this happened. Do you understand what took place? Exactly half of the world was concentrated in Yerevan. And yet we hear criticism about it,” he stated.

“I am very glad about one thing – that today you are able to speak, that we have created this opportunity for you, that you can say whatever you want here, whether it is true or false. And nothing will happen to you because of it. During the rule of the authorities whose lists you are now part of, people were being insulted in building entrances. Although what you are saying is nonsense and lies, I am very glad that you are able to say such nonsense,” Avinyan added.
