Strong Armenia supporters and office employees detained; defense attorneys’ participation hindered

For several hours, supporters and office employees of the Strong Armenia have been detained by the Anti-Corruption Committee, while the participation of defense attorneys is being obstructed, lawyer Lusine Martirosyan said.

“We have applied to the Human Rights Defender, and as always, we will intervene now. They will contact us now. Ultimately, the individuals do not want a private defense attorney; they wanted a public defender.

Now the question is: what logic, what principle of criminal procedure, what framework of unjustified waste of state resources does all this fit into,” the lawyer noted.
