Sergey Lavrov: Yerevan risks losing all its privileges within the EAEU

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that the European Union is attempting to pull Armenia into its orbit, warning that Yerevan risks losing all of its privileges within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU).

“We have relations with Armenia, and these relations are close, like allies, but at the same time, they are complex,” Lavrov said.

According to him, the West is trying to subordinate Armenia and sever the country’s mutually beneficial economic, trade, and investment ties with its partners in the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Eurasian Economic Union.
