“Monsieur defeatist and his gang are incapable of understanding that they have neither digested nor will ever digest Karabakh,” Candidate of Historical Sciences, public and political figure Mihran Hakobyan wrote on his Facebook page.

“They cannot understand that this people is deeply offended. They cannot understand that the majority of this people are not animals, as they have convinced themselves. This people is deeply offended that this gang, brought to power on the people’s own shoulders, turned the victorious Armenian nation into a mass of defeated fools whose purpose in life, according to this gang, is to entertain themselves at free street concerts and rejoice over a pension thrown at them.

This people is deeply offended that a gang of uneducated and ignorant traitors has turned Armenian history into a dog’s kennel and, from morning till night, calls for denying justice, denying the goals of generations, denying the achievements and sacrifices of ancestors – denying everything that separated the Armenian man from the slave and from the beast.

This people is deeply offended that in the 21st century it handed power with its own hands to a Gikor without a Hambo, someone who wants to drag everyone down to his own level and make everyone an accomplice. Does he not know better than anyone what he has done and how he is recorded in history?

This people is deeply offended that a gang driven by the instinct of a rat, having confused the state with a barn, is trying to reduce an entire nation to the status of cattle and force it to enjoy the role of defeated pawns.

World history has never known a case where a people’s deep resentment disappeared or remained without consequences. What is happening in the streets of Yerevan now is only the first snowdrops, the smoldering seeds of resentment. The main eruption is still ahead. These insignificant figures, brought before the Turks, will still have to answer for what they have done and failed to do. They will not escape responsibility; there is no escape for them, whether they realize it now or not.
